Our Story
Hello! My name is Rebecca Wezner and I am the proud owner of SimpleTides. The once small jewelry business that I turned into my dream jewelry shop. SimpleTides began in April 2020 at the age of 13 years old, in the middle of quarantine, as a little creative escape. What started as a hobby soon became an Etsy shop — but those early days were slow. It took six months before that very first sale came through, a small moment that felt huge at the time. Things shifted in November 2021 when one of my posts went viral on Instagram. Suddenly, more people were discovering SimpleTides, and orders started flowing in. By spring of 2022, I took a leap and signed up for my first vendor event.
At just 15 years old, standing behind my own table, watching people shop my jewelry in person — it truly felt like a dream come true. In 2023, SimpleTides had another viral moment, this time on TikTok, bringing a fresh wave of customers. I kept showing up at local craft shows and vendor events, meeting so many amazing people who connected with my designs. When my senior year of high school rolled around, I made the choice to pause my business to soak in every last moment with friends. Then, in February 2024, I committed to Florida Atlantic University to study marketing — the subject that had fueled my passion for running a business from the start. But as much as I enjoyed it, I missed home, and I missed fully diving into SimpleTides.
That’s when I transferred to Saint Joseph’s University to major in entrepreneurship and minor in international business, determined to grow SimpleTides to its fullest potential.By June 2025, I had my biggest milestone yet — participating in a massive vendor event in Sea Isle City. I sold more than I ever had before and made countless connections with customers and fellow small business owners. The rest of that summer was a whirlwind of juggling a full-time summer camp job while packing orders late at night and brainstorming new products. From a quarantine hobby to a growing brand, SimpleTides has been built on persistence, creativity, and a whole lot of love. Every piece I design is meant to be worn through life’s everyday adventures — whether that’s salty beach days, spontaneous road trips, or cozy moments at home. I can’t wait to see where the tides take us next.

Simple Tides is built on the idea that jewelry should be effortless, durable, and beautiful without demanding constant care. I’ve always loved accessorizing, but I hated having to take my jewelry off before swimming, showering, or just living my life. So I decided to create a solution—pieces you can truly wear every day.
Each Simple Tides piece is handmade or hand-designed by me. Our jewelry is crafted using waterproof, PVD-plated materials, making it resistant to water, sweat, and everyday wear. Gold pieces are made with 18k gold, while silver pieces are crafted from sterling silver, ensuring long-lasting quality without compromising style.
Every design is intentionally lightweight, so it feels comfortable from morning to night—whether you’re at the beach, in class, traveling, or out with friends.
